Katja Main — Textile Artist and Handmade Studio in Tallinn
I am Katja Main – a textile artist, designer, and craft maker based in Tallinn.
My work combines a contemporary approach with traditional textile techniques such as embroidery, knitting, punch needle, and garment upcycling. I am inspired by rich textures, playful color combinations, and animal motifs, which appear throughout my creations both in illustration and textile form.
I graduated from the Tallinn Old Town Art School in 2014–2017, specializing in Fashion Design.
In 2026, I graduated from Tallinna Rakenduslik Kolledž, specializing in Textile Craft.
During my studies, I focused on Estonian textile heritage, traditional textile techniques, embroidery, weaving, and contemporary textile art.
In addition, I create original artworks in my studio, lead workshops, and develop my personal brand Katja Main OÜ, bringing textile art into everyday life and encouraging people to discover the joy of handcraft and creative self-expression.
